Andrew Gander is an Australian jazz drummer and percussionist. His playing supports rhythm-rich contemporary jazz and fusion, with occasional original writing in that field.
On Tall Poppies he is the drummer on Sonic Fiction’s debut Powerful Medicine (TP099), recorded in Sydney in 1994. The album’s originals move between funky grooves and irregular-meter fusion, balancing detailed composition with open improvisation; he also shares a writing credit on the title track.
