Graham Wood
Graham Wood is an Australian violinist, associate leader of the West Australian Symphony Orchestra and a quartet leader. He is admired for a warm tone, purity of intonation and thoughtful chamber playing.
On Tall Poppies he recorded Souvenir (TP056), a recital of short romantic and salon pieces for violin and piano, framed by Mozart’s early E minor Sonata and ending with Kreisler encores. Several works come from the Australian Music Examinations Board violin syllabus, among them Arthur Benjamin’s spirituals in Primrose’s arrangement.
