Silvia Colloca

Silvia Colloca is an Italian-Australian mezzo-soprano, actress and cookery presenter. Trained in Milan as an actress and opera singer, she has taken leading roles on the Australian stage and on disc.

On Tall Poppies she sings Mina Harker and a vampire in the gothic opera Dracula (TP262), drawn from Bram Stoker’s novel. Stage work has included Orfeo in Orfeo ed Euridice in Sydney and The Queen in a production of Snow White. Her 2022 debut album Sing Like an Italian reached number one on the ARIA classical charts. She became an Australian citizen in 2013.
