Tall Poppies CD Sampler

This sampler was produced in late 2006 to complement Tall Poppies’ new full-colour catalogue. Its 26 tracks sample 26 recent CDs, presenting whole works or complete movements from larger pieces.

The programme ranges widely, from medieval Japanese music through Bach and Brahms to works of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries. Recent Australian music is a hallmark of the Tall Poppies catalogue, and this disc includes one performance available nowhere else: Carl Vine playing the twelfth of his Anne Landa Preludes for piano.
