James Eccles

James Eccles is a violist and a member of the improvising string quartet The NOISE.

On Tall Poppies he plays viola with The NOISE on Across the Top (TP211), music that sits between chamber writing, folk-inflected lines and improvisation. The programme centres on the extended Across the Top suite and includes the free group improvisation The Dawning Dark.
