Jane Edwards
Jane Edwards sings with persuasive clarity across repertoire that runs from Mozart's outrageous canons to Katharine Parker's wistful Edwardian songs. On disc she is the soprano of intimate chamber programmes and of The Song Company's sharp-edged Australian choral work.
With Ian Munro she gives Parker's small song output its full measure: the forsaken hush of I Wait My Lord, the striding energy of You've Two-score, Three-score Years, and the lightly sentimental Japanese love songs that sit close to the parlour. Elsewhere she joins The Song Company for Wesley-Smith's barbershop-to-dissonance parable Who Killed Cock Robin? and the comic and serious nature pieces of The Green CD, and she is the voice of Vine's Love Me Sweet in the Battlers film score. The line is clean, the character sure, and the music always comes first.

Down Longford Way: The Music of Katharine Parker
Katharine “Kitty” Parker (1886–1971) grew up near Longford in northern Tasmania. After early studies in Melbourne she became Percy Grainger’s pupil; he thought her the best student he ever had.
Jane Edwards also appears on

The Green CD
In a climate of rising concern for the planet, this programme of Australian choral works turns on nature and protest. Wesley-Smith's Who Killed Cock Robin? stands as a landmark of Australian choral writing, and one of its most popular.

The Battlers: Music from the TV Mini-Series
This music originated as the soundtrack for a television mini-series. Easy on the ear, it shows Vine as a consummate film composer, with a gift for mood that is an outstanding feature of the disc.

Mozart Unexpurgated
The Song Company sings Mozart’s scatological canons and songs, with fortepianist Geoffrey Lancaster improvising the accompaniments and taking two irreverent solo turns.
