Peter Morrison

Peter Morrison is a cellist whose Tall Poppies recordings include film music and contemporary chamber works.

He plays cello on Antarctica: The Film Music (TP012), Nigel Westlake’s score for Australia’s first IMAX film, and is a primary cellist on “Caeli enarrant…” IV & V (TP035), Georges Lentz’s astronomy-inspired chamber cycle.

Georges Lentz, then a violinist in the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, had already won the Paul Lowin Award for Orchestral Composition for another work in this series. His music draws on astronomy and carries a vast sense of space.
