This Moment Must Be Sung: Chamber Songs of Andrew Schultz
A special recording of chamber vocal music by Australian composer Andrew Schultz. Halcyon—Alison Morgan and Jenny Duck-Chong with a fine instrumental ensemble—has championed his writing for one and two voices across two decades.

Andrew Schultz: Suspended Preludes
Andrew Schultz, then Professor of Composition at Wollongong University, is a prolific composer with a large body of chamber music. This second Tall Poppies volume gathers nine works, performed by Australian musicians.

The Inner Line: Music for Piano 4 Hands
Stephen Emmerson taught piano at the Queensland Conservatorium in Brisbane and Bernard Lanskey at the Guildhall School of Music in London, yet the two still met regularly to give piano four-hand concerts.

Andrew Schultz: Chamber Music
Andrew Schultz is a younger Australian composer. This first disc devoted to his music gathers chamber works from the rollicking solo piano Sea-Change to the dramatic ensemble piece Mephisto and the poignant song cycle Dead Songs.
Compositions by Andrew Schultz also appear on

Mass of the Dreaming
It is remarkable that 2016 brought the first recording by an Australian choir devoted entirely to Australian sacred choral music. This disc fills that long gap with newly commissioned and recent works.

Kingfisher
This CD is the result of a daring project to commission 21 composers to write new works for Halcyon's two singers, Jenny Duck-Chong and Alison Morgan. Presented over two concerts in their 15th anniversary year, and then recorded at Trackdown.

Bolmimerie: SHE
SHE is the only harp septet in the world, and this is its first recording.

Coil: Australian Music for Solo Percussion
Claire Edwardes had already marked the Australian contemporary music scene after the ABC Young Performer of the Year award in 1999 and the Freedman Fellowship in 2005. Back from European study and performance, she was active in new-music ensembles and building a solo career.

Viola Power
It's hard to imagine a CD of Australian music for the viola, but here it is. From Grainger's chirpy love song through Ross Edwards' intricate dance to Peter Sculthorpe's masterful work with percussion.

Christmas under Capricorn
The Australian Youth Orchestra, conducted by Graham Abbott, plays nineteen Christmas carols arranged for orchestra by Australian composers. Two carols appear in paired settings, inviting comparison. Listenable festive music, easy to give as a gift.
