Craig Scott
Craig Scott is an Australian double bassist whose work moves between contemporary jazz and traditional Central European folk music.
He is the bassist on The Scented Garden (TP163), a Sydney jazz session from early 2003 whose reviews single out his easy waltz-groove support and lyrical lines. On On Our Way (TP063) he supplies double bass for a programme of Hungarian, Romanian and Gypsy dance tunes built around violin, cimbalom, viola and voice.
Performing as The Transylvaniacs
The Transylvaniacs are a folk ensemble devoted to traditional Hungarian music from Transylvania, with Romanian and Gypsy tunes in the mix.

On Our Way: Haza is Kéne Már Menni
If you like Hungarian and Romanian folk music and dance, this is your CD. The Transylvaniacs play traditional Hungarian music from Transylvania, with Romanian and Gypsy tunes among the twelve tracks. Violin, cimbalom, viola, double bass and voice lead the ensemble’s own arrangements.
